Our Facilities

Our facilities are located in historic Parksley, VA. on the corner of Chadbourne Street and Jones Avenue.

This stately 1920 Victorian home was the former residence of the late Upshur D. Lewis and Sarah Core Lewis, parents of Gertrude Lewis Thornton, one of the original founders.

Over the years the building has been completely renovated and remodeled to accommodate the growing business. In 1979 a chapel was added with additional seating for 100. The interior, a traditional colonial atmosphere, is done in soothing shades of rose and greens with Chippendale furnishings and the most modern equipment. There are two chapels and visitation rooms, a family room, coffee lounge, as well as a minister's study and meditation room. The facility is fully furnished with a music and public address system throughout the building, while still retaining "A Homelike Atmosphere".

In 2001 a new state of the art Batesville Merchandise Selection Room was added to make the difficult task of selecting funeral merchandise much easier. This room affords families one of the largest selections on the Shore in a non - intimidating environment.

We are now in the process of making our facilities completely handicap accessible, including new ramps, sidewalks, and restrooms.
